For me, one of the principal highlights of my weekend is going to a hectic main line station (Victoria, Euston, King's Cross etc.) and lining up to obtain a travel card. It literally kills HOURS. And the best thing is, as you get to the front of the line, you don't have to purchase a travel card! (You could just say, stupid me, I already have an Oyster card! and then you can abandon the line and join it again. cast iron fun for eight plus hours and all for free. (Don't forget to grab a gratis Tube plan as a souvenir)
If I arrive at six o'clock on a Saturday late afternoon in to Euston, is this a stupid, daft time to purchase an Oyster card?

I'm arriving approximately then, and I'll be in London for four days (Saturday evening, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday morning).

What is my best choice in terms of price / convenience for paying for the tube?

Euston is continuously a pretty bad place to obtain an Oyster card. You're maybe better off getting the heck out of there and trying Euston Square or Warren Street relatively close by -- they're to a great extent much much quieter.

Stay sober then ride the 94 bus from Trafalgar to Chiswick at about 2am on a Saturday. It's perhaps one of the most entertaining experiences that I have ever had.

Wear a raincoat.

I would articulate the exact thing except for swap out the 94 for the N8 from Oxford Circus to Hainault /The Lowe. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Between 3am and 4am (usually, weather conditions permitting), the London Eye is put in to a self-cleaning sequence and rotates at around 6RPM. That doesn't sound like a lot, except that's one revolution every 10 seconds! It gets all the rain, dust, filth etc off, all the mud and so on ends up in the thames.

They don't permit you to ride it in this time, except slipping the cleaners (who aren't the normal ride operators) £20 will get you on one of the pods.

It's a hell of a rush although tbh only a matter of time until somebody gets hurt then they stop this.

Yay. They did ask. I'm delighted!
