I'm going to try buying higher class meat and veg from now on, just to see how it compares in both flavor and cost in the long term. I live just north of Great Portland Street tube station (its my local station now) and don't mind roving too far, given that the higher class produce is rumored to last longer than something out of tesco etc, saving multiple trips throughout the week.

Try Parliament Hill Farmers' Market on a Saturday morning, stalls change weekly also it's a nice chance to have a walk round the Heath too.

Great Portland Street tube's about half a mile from The Ginger Pig on Moxon Street, which is the best butcher in London, let alone that part of the city.

There's a good butcher at Highbury Barn. Can't recall the name but you can't miss it. If you're after something special, Lidgate in Holland Park is eminently good. distinctively pricy too.

There is relatively a good Farmers Market on the weekend next to the Ginger Pig in the car park at the back of the Waitrose, come to think of it.

Expensive, although no doubt it would be class stuff. Thanks!

Looks good, if there is lots to be seen it should not make the journey such a problem. Thanks for the link!
