Southbank is the temple of a well-known culture based on respect, passion and a collective objective; progress. Destroying such a required place of saga in a culture scatters the brotherhood in a community, causing a need of common objective. A lack of purpose. People need something to work on and skateboarding for many is the objective their lives orbit around, and has done for countless years.

Is it genuinely a I mean without doubt a big part of the attraction to skaters is that it is free and has a considerable passing audience?

I've never had a difficult with it being there, but things change and if it falls victim to rejuvenation then so be it. Your brotherhood can have the common objective of finding someplace else.

Aren't they planning to move it to Hungerford bridge, not just do away with it entirely?

Can we have a edition of the reasoning that doesn't sound like it was written by a first year arts graduate trying to impress the teacher?

Maybe the new location will be better. Maybe the thing they're replacing it with will benefit more people.
Don't just rant without posting the other side of the story.

by no means been a skater or a a BMXer but I think the skatepark is a bit of an institution. It would be a embarrassment to see a querky piece of London / the Southbank go to doubtlessly be replaced by more franchised tedium.

n1 m8. dose sk8 twats wont no wot it 'em. Anyway, who needs free, affirmative and social environments to enjoy their selected sport. Fuck them, tear it all down we want more Costa's and Nando's. Lets make London a little more lonely, lets ruin more of it's idiosyncratic landmarks. Heaven forbid a tourist might go hungry.

And to throw away a million quid in the process.
