I'm going to be moving to London before long and I've been looking at places to rent.

Any kind of recommendation is welcome:

What is each region in London like?

How liquid is the market?

What to look out for?

Which are the best sites to use to find places that are being rented out?

You would like a all-inclusive report on each region of London?

The more information the better, but, really, some sort of opinion is welcome.

You genuinely want a report on every single part of London?

How liquid is the market?

Meaningless question. Parts are liquid, and to be avoided because of that.

What to look out for?

Lots of things. Why not tighten up your questions a bit?

Which are the best sites to use to find places that are being rented out?

Google

Have you tried reading the Wikipedia pages? utterly tons of information there.

Sweet, didn't realise there was a living section for the wiki as well.

You were in fact helpful compared to the other replies, cheers!

It was a monumentally nebulous question. There are 32 London boroughs. a large amount of them will have a number of recognisable 'areas', asking what 'each area is like' is just not going to get a reasonable answer.

  1. It is perhaps better to look for places based on what they are in. Standard Tube Map. Zone-1 is the most expensive. If you would like more information then be more specific.
  2. Not enough information - penis has gotten stuck.
  3. Again, not adequate information - look out for London Underground closing times in the evening; look out for the Queen (because she's out there); look out for chocolate for the reason that it's splendid here; look out for drizzle (always have an umbrella with you), basically get yourself a little bag for goodies.
  4. Gumtree is a good start.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS TAINTED WITH BEER AND TEA: Walk on the left and don't block others! Good day. I said, day. Just re-read what you were actually asking... I hope I helped a little at least. My last two-pence: If a rental place is in Zone-1/2, cheap, and looks amazing then it's almost certainly a scam. Don't Western Union anything.
