Hi everyone, I (30F) am sick of paying a fortune for my haircut and colour, and spending hours in the hairdressers. If anybody knows of someplace where I can acquire a cheap, speedy cut, decent highlights and that's welcoming rather than super trendy in East London, I would be forever grateful! Thanks!
I go to Edward Holland in Spitalfields. It's not especially low-cost (£22 for a cut), except they don't take ages and it's not super trendy. Guy who usually cuts my pelt is an older fella with an impressive assortment of ties.
Edit: Just realised you're a girl. There's a woman's hair salon near too, but I have no impression what it's like.
Henry & Sons, outside the doorway of New Cross station. £12 for a spot on cut, with a razor on the neck, backed up by talc. Your man is brilliant.
Why not check out a hair dressing school like this they are constantly looking for people to work on
Hurwendeki on Cambridge Heath road does £9 haircuts for men. in addition the coffee there is great.
Must suck as a lady who juts needs a £10 haircut like us guys get.
I've resigned myself to getting cuts in the City for £25 a time... I tell myself it's worth it as they have nice furnishings and you don't have to linger 45 mins for a stack of chavs to get their heads shaved, but still...
