I'm going to be close to the area of the London Eye at 11pm on a Thursday. I live a fair distance via train, so am hopeful to spend the nighttime in a bar with my buddy drinking.

So, the question is:

Are there some bars that stay open until 5-6am by the London Eye? Clubs would be okay too. If they aren't near, where it worth travelling to? I am on a slight budget, but understand it probably won't be cheap. I'd really be thankful for any responses you have!

I'm pretty definite the lot shuts down at midnight near there. Your best bet would be the Ministry of Sound to the South near Elephant and Castle.

There are some places down the South Bank that stay open for awhile. There's one predominantly good one just outside the National Theatre. There are also a number of pubs/bar that will be open until then-osh down Borough High Street. Ministry of Sound closes at 3ish usually.

London isn't really a late night city.

On a Thursday, best bet is a bar in a casino. There's the Carlsberg Sports Bar in Leicester Square, plus a not-so-nice bar at Gala on Tottenham Court Rd.

Especially not on a Thursday. Thursday is work drinks night, which frequently seems to equal getting as drunk as you can ahead of last tube.

Should be some things in shoreditch or the like. http://www.timeout.com/london/bars-and-pubs/late-night-bars-and-pubs-in-london-6

Big chill is open till 3, must be some other places worth going though.

Big Chill definitely isn't open until 3 on a Thursday. Brick Lane one closes at 1 (might be 12 even), and the one in King's Cross is about the same.

Even on the weekends they're only open until 3!
