So I don't squander the whole day shut in my room!

Your house?

Boring, also my flatmate talks all the time and interrupts and I can't get a lot done.

My suggestion is to leisurely work your way up Upper Street from Angel, stopping at the following locations, southernmost first: * Costa coffee opposite Islington Green. It's pretty big, you won't feel like the staff want you to leave

  • Euphorium, also on Islington Green just up from Costa. Have an almond croissant here

  • Carluccio's, on the other side of the street next to the church. perhaps you could time this to coincide with lunch

  • Madam Chi, back on the left hand side opposite the Town Hall. Has wi-fi and does really nice coffee although food is rubbish

  • Another Euphorium, on the same side of the road. If it's the afternoon by this time you may want to switch from coffee to tea at this point

  • to conclude the Starbucks next to Highbury station, which has wi-fi so you can email your colleagues all the great work you'll have spent the day doing!

The cafe at Google Campus, near Old Street station.

The Breakfast Club down the passage at the angel is pretty friendly, relatively small though, so it might get a bit busy. Failing that perhaps The Angelic pub just next to the massive Sainsburys, not an all day thing, but its relatively spacious, so you could find yourself a corner.

Go to the library whichever library.

I do it now looking for jobs and flats.

Nope, OP isn't cool enough to pose in the Breakfast Club queue (for hours).

This. beyond doubt this. Costa is not for you if you want to get work done, and it's like a real life episode of not to be a parent

This or London hackspace (https://london.hackspace.org.uk/)
