I live in Tufnell Park at the moment and generally love it:

-Filthy rock bar at either end of the road, approximately 10 minutes walk to either.

-Close enough to the filthy but necessary shops in Archway/Holloway Road.

-Closeish to central, walkable to Camden/Kentish Town for nights out.

-It manages to walk a thin line of being vaguely dodgy but not unsafe.

-Close to the Heath.

-It isn't overly trendy yet so thankfully not full of haircuts and sky high rents.

-Plenty of young people.

-Good bus transport links, Northern Line which is much better than it used to be, National Rail from Kentish Town and Overground from Gospel Oak or Upper Holloway.

-Lots of good little cafes and eateries near the station.

Your turn!

I just want drunk folks to take in people are sleeping in the houses they are walk past and they don't need to yell at people who are standing right next to them.

I don't even really twig how they end up on my street even when intoxicated.

Second to that all cabs must have to be electric or the drivers not be assholes.

Where in London is home?

It isn't overly trendy yet so thankfully not chock-full of haircuts and sky high rents.

It is never in actuality going to be trendy for the reason that it was never truly shit. Have you checked out The Southampton Arms next to Gospel Oak tube? One of the nicest pubs in London.

Stroud Green/Finsbury Park, I love the up and coming feeling the neighbourhood has now, tonnes of businesses and eateries are opening up in the area. Close to Dalston and Camden for night-life. Having grown up there it feel fantastic that the neighbourhood is civilizing itself, the 00s were not a good time for Finsbury Park, we were the home to Abu 'Hook Hands' Hamza and there were some sketchy church/cult shit going on as well as rampant street crime. The transport is some of the best in London, markedly when you reflect on rent/house prices.

I hate the butchers along Stroud Green road, they smell terrible, the butchers walk around covered in blood and bits of meat. We still need a quality pub but I am sure that will be solved soon. Also too many super markets, there are two Tescos and two Sainsburys within 10 mins walking.

I hate that, though truth be told I've been one of its chief practitioners on a couple of occasions.

Yes, Southampton Arms is someplace I stop at relatively often. I also really like the Lord Palmerston on Junction Road.

Finsbury Park/Stroud Green is one more great area, markedly with Dotori near the station and places like Silver Bullet. The Faltering Fullback is an ok pub close to there...

That's true. You need to go shit before you can go chock-full hipster.

Mark my words, in 10 years the hipster place to be will be Walworth/Old Kent Road

It is happening to Peckham right now! Though I assume Croydon will resist for many a year.

We also have Boulangerie Bon Matin and Vagabond for your café needs. Also Osteria Tufo opened a short time ago and it is some of the best Italian food in North London.

Hackney represent. It's just ace, all the time. i know we get a bit of shove for the Hipsters, but hey, I quite like going to the pub and finding it's turned into a pop-up laser rib shack since last week. Plus the park is lovely, it's very well connected, and there's always something going on each night. I've lived in a number of parts of London but this one feels like home to me.
