I live in London, however every time it comes to things to do in the day at the weekend, I come to a complete loss. I've not seen my partner alot over the last few weeks owing to work, and so sought to do something out of the ordinary together this weekend. Does anybody know of something out of the ordinary going on this weekend in London, or anybody have any thoughts of things to do/areas to explore?

Is it not a tad depressing that you can't think of a single thing to do in the day?

Well I can think of stuff obviously, except I don't want to go to the cinema, or bowling, I've done a lot of the museums and the weather's turned so picnics plus parks are out. So I'm after some uncommon ideas, perhaps things that are on this weekend that aren't an everyday weekend thing.

Maybe if you're not going to help then don't worry commenting?

Walk the South Bank. Even if the weather is not ideal, it is still a lovely stroll with ample of stop off points for coffee or other warming drinks.

I would do this, however I work in that region so it's kind of lost it's vivacity for me!

Would a day trip to Hampton Court be excessively touristy? More of a destination than an event, but it's a fantastic place to wander and rubberneck.

Do some things.

As residents, it's easy now and again to look right through some of the things that are right under our nose, or turn that nose up as it's a thing.

I see not anything wrong with doing an open top bus tour, or taking a expedition down the Thames to Greenwich, or walking Soho/Chinatown for the reason that it's fun.

This weekend is Open House Weekend -- exhaust the whole time going into grand (and not so grand) buildings you generally cant get inside.

If flummoxed for thoughts - just do Whitehall, there are masses to see there.
