30 mins is well under average for a London commute, and Shoreditch is a great spot to live. Go for it.

How skinny are your jeans? Are you able to look anorexic at the same time as having curly hair, thick glasses and enigmatically maintain a party lifestyle even as working part time at a coffee/book shop?

30 minutes is in fact not a long commute by London standards you know. Whether you like it or not depends, do you prefer expensive bars and restaurants in Chelsea or do you fancy sketchy brooklyn style bars that are still strangely as costly as Chelsea?

I lived in shoreditch for 18 months and loved it, I'd move back in an split second if I could. There's constantly a lot going on, good bars, good restaurants, good nightlife. Arty crap if you're keen on it, colombia road flower market, spittalfields, brick lane

God I miss that neighborhood :crying:

btw I'm as un-hipstery as possible, but still it is fantastic

Edit - un-hipstery!

it would make me commute about 30-35 minutes to work.

Using what - bus? Underground? Overground? If it's one of those, you may discover that a bicycle can take you 15-20 minutes door to door.

Ive seen a couple of those warehouse conversions, they are awesome. Any chance there is a area more available? :confident:
Sorry all full up :/. Does that indicate I should really consider the area?
I don't know to be honest. I know that the Metropolitan police got some facts on their webpage about crime rate etc, perhaps that is worth a look.. I personally wouldn't mind moving to that area, however again I'm no expert.

I enjoy shoreditch. I used to work in Old Street, good places to eat, awfully close to the city and Westend.
Any grasp on the nightlife?
Night life is pretty fantastic. massive variety of things going on; the lot old pubs, trendy bars, clubs, galleries, etc. If you're a enthusiast of live music this is the area to live.

Not bad; but then it depends on your sort of scene.
I'd be interested to anywhere you think is good for night life then. Can't think of anyplace in London that's better unless you're into the preteniousness of Mayfair.
