I'm awake, i'm not hungover and I'm keen to explore a market for chow and treats.

Alexandra palace is near and there's a market on there from 11, but wonder if my time and journey is better invested elsewhere?

Pretty much this, really. You can't go wrong with that. Does help that Spitalfields market is also just around the bend from it.

Time out did a very good round up of them all. My own favourite is Potobello Road though!

It's a tad cliché, but the markets in the old stables in Camden, and by Camden Locks, are the bee's knee's.

You can get all sorts of vintage clothing, food, furniture, art, music - there's a strong emphasis on the culturally organic and vintage. It's badass.

Portobello is grand too, particular as you get further beyond Notting Hill.

There's also Sunday Up Market within the old brewery on Brick Lane. In truth with Spitalfields close by, the whole area is buzzing. Get there early, be alert there are lots of people, watch your wallet!

I particularly like Whitechapel Market on a Sunday, as it's the only day of the week it isn't there.

Gone are the good old days when we had the Slave Market as well as the Whore Market, not its just tramps spinning out boxes of rusty nails.

haha i used to live in Whitechapel! The one that's on Mile End Road immediately before you turn in to Sainsbury's?

My university asked if i wanted to study it for some coursework but i respectfully declined...
