The Dog and Bell in Deptford, got an 18th Century Billiards table, okay choice of ales and a brilliantly diverse pub quiz every Sunday at 9.00. Staff are lovely and locals are incredibly accepting

Where in particular in SE/how far out are you equipped to go? I'm a admirer of:

The Victoria Inn in Peckham,

Stormbird in Camberwell (loads of beers),

Blythe Hill Tavern in Forest Hill (bit more of a pub),

The Hob in FH (comedy, pool),

Catford Bridge Tavern in Catford

Princess Of Wales in Blackheath (pretty good roast)

I'll second the Catford Bridge Tavern. Good choice of drink, and their Sunday Roast is genuinely very nice.

Anyone know any near or in the Lewisham area?
Catford Bridge Tavern
Does that have pool or anything?
I don't imagine so I'm afraid. If I recall accurately it has a bar billiards table plus an arcade machine.
Do you indicate arcade or slot machine (as in betting machine)?

Marquis of Granby. An old school good boozer.

They are still shut as of a fire at Christmas and now sorting out cover but with any luck Jam Circus in Crofton Park will be open once more soon. Nice pub and good food.

There is a new microbrewery place opening presently too http://brockleycentral.blogspot.com/2013/03/late-knights-plan-for-mr-lawrence.html?m=1

If you want a bit of a ropey old boozer with pool, darts and sport on TV, try The Chandos in Honor Oak

The best pubs in Greenwich, IMHO:

I've had two really shit pints of London Pride in The Trafalgar Tavern on two separate occasions. If they can't get the basics right...

Would recommend the rest though!

The Gowlett in Peckham has fantastic atmosphere, welcoming personnel and a good clients crowd. Pool and perhaps darts (been a while since I lived next door to it - can't remember!).

They fix incredible pizzas, and the landlord practiced charcuterie. very much recommended, in particular on Lucky 7s nights, where you can take along a couple of records for them to play.

The Mayflower in Rotherhithe. Its on the Thames, has real ale, pub quizs. Its the oldest pub in London on the Thames

+1 for mentioning The Chandos!
