The Bythe Hill is a eminent pub. Twice winner of the CAMRA best pub in South London. Great landlord plus staff. Top Guinness in addition to well managed bar. The Prince Albert in Deptford is nice and has a restaurant close if you enjoy that sort of thing. Mr Lawrence is a great bar in Crofton Park. Shame they close the bottle store next door however you can still buy online and collect from the bar.
Anyone in the SE area call to mind the Ivy House? They tried to spin it into flats but it has been bought by the locals and they hope to open it once more soon. Search for Save the Ivy House for more info.
All this natter of pubs has got me thirsty. Sod it I am off for a pint in the Blythe!
There is a new microbrewery place opening presently too http://brockleycentral.blogspot.com/2013/03/late-knights-plan-for-mr-lawrence.html?m=1
If you want a bit of a ropey old boozer with pool, darts and sport on TV, try The Chandos in Honor Oak
