Tuesday nights from 2030. Krav Maga self defense lessions at Fitness First in London Bridge. Losing weight at the same time as piercing people with a rubber knife. See you there old bean.

Edit: I forgot to say which Fitness First. I am an idiot.

How much is it for non members?

I work on Scrutton Street.

Ex-major weight loser (lost 40lbs from gym plus diet), looking to get the motivation back. Open to gyming 2 nights a week if you're up for it. ordinarily cardio so far, but looking to move into weight training.

I'm competitive, fat and Irish. :confident:

Oh hey I'm Epworth street. Pretty close. Got a guy who wishes to try SPACE on Wed but leaves me a lot of time to try out.

Fancy giving this a go then?

Small world. I too am on Epworth street. I don't like the sound of this entire 'commitment' lark, but if you choose to take any of those boxing lessons mentioned below get in touch, I'd be keen to try it out.
How about Friday at 19:00 we try the boxing then at FighterFit?
This week is terrible for me. Off to amsterdam at 5.30 saturday morning to ruin my body a little more. Would be eager for next week though... Thurs or Fri would perhaps be best - gives me some time to recover.
Fair play! Next Friday it is then!
Awesome. Have put it in the diary. Let's speak closer the time

I am a fat, idle Londoner who is only two weeks ahead of you. I work out in Waterloo though (its only £20 a month)

Where precisely around Waterloo is this £20 a month gym you talk of?
Imagination Street
Actually, Gym Group was offering £15 a month to members who joined the newest branch in Waterloo back in October. I know for the reason that I joined and never went (ended up with Virgin). I imagine it's £20-25 in most places in London now as well as a one-off joining fee at some.

Well fuck. I pay £50 every month for a membership at some beaten down spot in East London... :confident:
Ha. I pay £20 a month at TheGym which as well has a £20 joining free, Fitness4less is roughly £14 but has a £60 joining fee. I am not a student but I bought an NUS card online (never picked it up), once logged in to NUS i could get my new NUS number which wavered the joining free at The Gym. It also now gives me 15% off myprotein.com. optimistically this will save you some pennies.

ha. TheGym or Fitness4less. I can only articulate for thegym which has worked out perfectly, no contract but forget about sticking to your 1h exercises on free weights on a monday evening. I find 8am weekdays are best.

TheGym in Canning town is still taking £15 a month joiners as it has recently opened.

Well. Find a partner then we can have some grand North vs South London challenge.
Its on! What is the goal? mass loss, muscle growth etc. I am pretty much a novice however I am following this - http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/transform-theory-drop-fat-gain-muscle.html

Weight loss, muscle growth, improved stamina sound good to me. Not sure how we can quantify this though. We should set a count card of what we can primarily lift/run/do and then keep a score on Google Docs.
